I hope your year is off to a good start and that you may be planning a winter break with us! As I have mentioned previously, insiders know that the winter is a great time to visit Tofino, walking the beach, enjoying great food and special beverages, and relaxing in front of your cozy fire.

Again this year we are offering our popular "Stay For Three Nights, Pay for Two" special for February and until March 15th. It takes the extra day to really relax! To celebrate Valentine's with your loved one, this year we are not only offering our three-night promotion, but a dinner for two. Stay the extra night if you can.

February is our Pet Appreciation Month. Bring your four-legged family member to visit for free. On their behalf we will donate $50 to the Care Network, a great local organization helping less fortunate animals.

As you may be aware, it is with mixed feeling that I announce that after 15 years of service, our General Manager, Samantha Hackett is leaving the resort to become the Executive Director of the Tofino Chamber of Commerce. I believe that this is a good career move for Samantha and I thank her for her years at the lodge. She has brought us and our staff a long way forward under her dedicated management. Thanks Sam!

My husband and I stayed at the Lodge for three nights, celebrating my husband’s birthday. We splurged on the penthouse room and it was worth it. The room is updated beautifully and the bottle of cider and chocolate truffles welcoming us upon arrival were super sweet. The view from the room is spectacular and we enjoyed the amazing sunsets from our balcony. We had a dinner at the Great room and it didn’t disappoint. The staff was very friendly and the food was superb. The restaurant room is overlooking the Cox Bay beach and we enjoyed our breakfasts there as well and then went for a beach walk right outside the lodge. We have not used the sauna or the hot tub or the spa but they did look tempting. Maybe next time. This place is a wonderful oasis on the west coast. Highly recommended! "Another great stay at LBL"

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful four-night stay in a Rainforest Cottage. The beaches were intoxicatingly serene and our stay was very relaxing. We enjoyed a wonderful meal in the great room, where the ambience and service was superb as always. "Anniversary weekend."

We went to the west coast to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary as we were married out there. It was a lovely weekend and the LBLR was a good choice to stay with our dogs. The room is comfortable and easily accessible on the ground level so we were not having to walk up and down stairs or take elevators with the dogs. The restaurant (we only ate breakfasts there) was good value for money and has great beach views. I think the upcoming closure for maintenance etc. will be good as the rooms and eating area is showing a bit of wear, but still a great spot to stay.
